It's Not Whether You Win Or Lose, It's How You Play The Game (Or What Hillary Clinton Won't Do To Win)One of the growing memes in the Blogosphere and on the streets is that Hillary Clinton is out to destroy the Democratic party.

I don’t think that’s true.

But what is true is that the Clintons have a history of doing whatever is neccesary to get and keep power. Even if that means lying.

The Hillary Clinton campaign is running on experience.

Um, what experience is she talking about?

She was only First Lady from 1992-2001
Not ambassador,
Not Secretary of State ,
Not senator,
Not an elected official of any kind...

So that being said we have to conclude that her vast experience in foreign affairs is her Husband’s. Right?

So that being said what credentials did Bill possess in 1992 to be the leader of the free world?

Was it his Charisma? Was it his ability to draw voters out that had been alienated by the process? Was it his ability to connect with the populous? Sounds pretty familiar...

And what of her argument that she should win because she has won the big states?

Hillary’s so called big state strategy is a loser; she only does it because her appeal is so limited.

In some of these large states she has done well because of name recognition and the fact that she got the local political machines behind her last year when she pushed her inevitability myth.

But most of these large states will automatically go for Obama or any Democrat in the general election anyway. I mean, does anyone expect NY or CA to not go blue in the general?

Even with these swing states of OH and PA, if Obama is the nominee, he would inherit all of her advantages in these states, namely the local Democratic machinery and get the name recognition.

Now Hillary would not nearly get all of Obama’s grassroots support. She would not get the key independents vote which would switch to McCain. And in those purple states where Obama beats McCain she would lose.

That is why she (and her husband) keep hinting @ a Hillary/Obama ticket.

The bottom line is that Obama is clearly the more electable, and that has not changed one bit.

So I don’t think she’s out to destroy the party.
But she is out to win.
And has shown she is willing to lie to do it.

The world has suffered enough under the eccentric US male presidents.

Hillary is charismatic, intelligent,a leader, and most of all, she doesn’t need Bill to back her. American Voters now must re-think about the way they choose their presidents.

But most importantly I think, USA should allow a political opening for Alternative Political Parties such as Libertarians and Greens. In fact, the new media or alternate media should help in their campaigns.

I think another clinton will be disaster for the USA and for africa as well (from an african perspective).

Bill clinton was all talk but no action. Atleast when it came to africa, and and hillary clinton is the same.

She is hungry for power and her time in the limelight and would not offer an alternative that americans are looking for. Barack Obama on the other hand is the fresh political force that is needed to invigorate the US political scene.

But is america ready for a minority president?, and thats the million dollar question.

I think the Bill Maher clip isn’t a good source. It is a known fact that Maher is an Obama supporter and he is using his show for that purpose. Maher is also a racist, very much against whites, in his personal life.

I find that Maher comment...weird.

Very Clintonian of you to attack the messenger and ignore the message. :)

Here’s the deal.

I was a Hillary supporter but she is a 20th Century politician. 21st Century politics is about Authenticity and Transparency. Hillary is neither.

According to my calender we are in the 21st century. Hillary’s time has passed.

Prince, if Hillary's time passed what would you say about big states' response in 2008 (21st century)?

Hillary is there mainly because of the support of Mr. Bill but Obama is there because of his talent and work done in his public life.

Major section of US politics is supporting Obama because they link clinton to the Iraq war. Democratic commentators have said on number of occasions that Obama's African-American image and his less political baggage than Hillary would help US to present a new image of USA to the world.

No, you are wrong, advisers of Obama, who are also critics of the Iraq war like Zbigniew Brzezinski, are working hard to make US imperialist policy more effective to spread US dominance in the world.

At this point of time, Us is in need of a president who could get popular support because the interests of the US and its allies might require possible military actions in different parts of the world. Is Obama fit for the job?

Are democrats heading towards split? For them, its hard to decide who will be winning candidate between Obama and Hillary.

James,
Unfortunately with change, it doesn’t reach everyone at the same time. But it can’t be stopped.

A lot of people think they have a financial interest in things staying the same. Others just are afraid of of change.

In the ”Big States” it takes longer for change to come because so many are locked into the old system.

It’s obvious that the US political system needs some tweaks. And now is the time to fix it!

I do agree with Chris, the Iraq war, like Vietnam war, has divided the US political and foreign policy establishment more than any other issue till date. Iraq war is going to play a crucial role in the conflict among Democrats and Obama will certainly get advantage of this conflict.

If the issue of Iraq war is going to take central role, Hillary would have to pay for it and Obama will be the clear winner because of his clean image. It was Clinton who enabled Bush to make a decision of military action against Iraq that has been strategically damaging to the US.

And what do you say Steve, when Obama became a US senator he, like Hillary, voted repeatedly to fund the Iraq war. Is he not responsible like Hillary?

I agree more Prince for this time you hit the nail right on the head. Hillary looks well past the expiry date, doesn't she? She reminds me the time when Rudy Giuliani was the NYC mayor. We all loved him for what he did then. Today he sucks major just as much as Hillary does now. We loved her when she was elected Senator first time.
