hillary vs obama

Bloggers, Pundits and folks on the street are all asking that question right now. Those who gamble on this stuff think she’ll drop out very soon. Others think she should stay in till the end.

I’ve put a couple of reasons pro and con but I really would like to know what you think.

Yes:

# Obama has a commanding 159 lead in pledged delegates and a lead of 925,000 in the popular vote (excluding Michigan and Florida, where neither campaigned). Closing that gap would require Hillary to win all the remaining contests by crushing margins. That isn’t happening.
# Bowing out now, gracefully, would have her look good and help her future reputation.

NO:

# The Democrats finally have an exciting primary campaign that could stretch into the final states. Turnout is at historic highs. There are exciting races ahead; let the people vote.
# Anything can happen in politics. Look at McCain’s comeback.

i think she needs to drop out now so she'll stop spreading misinformation and empty attacks on Obama. If she keeps this up she'll end up giving McCain an actual shot at the white house.

I would also love to see a woman in the white house but I would prefer to see an African American in the white house.

I don't believe Hillary is the right woman for this time. This country is yearning for a change in the way we do business in Washington and unfortunately she has not shown me that she will be any different other than gender. I have heard and listened to Hillary from the time she ran for US senator in NY to today. I am concerned about several of her positions.

1. Mandatory health care without controlling the health insurance industry will be disastrous. Her health plan would mean garnishing paychecks. With her support from the health insurance industry, I am not sure she can reduce cost.

2. She is more hawkish than Obama and I can never support a person who will go to war to advance an economic agenda

Not yet. Even though I'm a Obama supporter, her still being in the race makes him more prepared to deal with McCain

Its time we elect a woman as leader of the most advanced nation on this planet. Several developing countries including Bangladesh, Pakistan and Burma have done so and we are still figuring out whether a woman can be an effective leader and continuously doubt whether she can do it without her husband's support.

No, she shouldn't, she still has a chance of winning the race. However she should stop being a bitch.

I dont want the Clinton spin machine in office again. It is time for a change, and Billary is not that route.

The Philippines has already seen two women Presidents – the current one is Gloria Macapagal Arroyo and the former was Corazon Aquino. In fact, Aquino was the first female President in Asia. She came to power after the autocratic and corrupt Marcos regime collapsed in 1986.

I think, its time US citizen should also see power of woman.

@ Jonathan

I think you should check you grammar first. Have you passed your IInd grad exam?

If Hillary comes across as strong-willed, she is labeled various epithets. If she shows the slightest hint of emotion, she is weak, vulnerable, emotional and unfit to become President. If she tries hard every day not to show any emotion whatsoever, she is cold, calculating and ruthless.

I think you male-chauvinists pigs, should leave her alone.

I find it ironic that she then talks about keeping jobs in America, yet served on the board of directors for Wal-Mart during the same time they changed hands to pretty much all overseas production.

yes it's time for Hillary to leave...there is no hope for her and it's almost over with thumping Obama victories. if she want to bounce back, she need all the remaining states in her credit and that is something impossible with Obama going with all the great guns.over over over...Hiller now pull back you're gone...yes you lost...accept this

If You Vote For Hillary You’re Racist, If You Vote For Obama You’re Sexist.

Gimme a break, man.

American hypocricy at its best.

I am disgusted with this American hypocrisy, but this country for decades declined women and blacks the right to vote and participate in their so called democracy unlike white males; where white males were considered superior.

It is neither racist nor sexist. Just American reality.

Politics is a game of either side….its li’l bit early to predict! However, I feel, there’s no point of stepping back now, both are equally qualified to run the nation. But yes I’m really looking forward to the see results :)

The race has not yet begun in true earnest and you ask Hillary to quit? You can’t underestimate the woman. Now the battle has turned interesting. But McCain need not worry whosoever ultimately faces him.

Yes, she should for the good of the party. Clinton can't beat McCain -- if she somehow wins the nomination she will be doing it for purely selfish reasons.

It ain’t over till the fat lady sings!!!

Clinton’s fate hasn’t been decided as yet. This Tuesday’s primaries might make the picture clearer. I would hope that Clinton makes a strong comeback in the remaining states and keeps this contest alive and kicking. I say stretch it to the wire and then we’ll see who has better nerves. No question of dropping out now. Hilary might as well see this to end, you never no.

First black president is politically and socially more important than first US president in US. Hillary should quit in favor of Obama and try next time once again.

I am here making the balance unequal because before my comment both sides have 11 comments each and now I am giving my vote in favor of black president in US because it would show the new face of African-American in US society. Womens are already enjoying political and social rights in the country now let the blacks enjoy it.

Hey Jasmine.. No need to see the power of women because women enjoy power due to the support of men behind them. I think US don't need to see woman power because one Monica Lewinsky's power had rocked the whole country. Bill Clinton better knows what is woman power actually.

Men are always men it doesn't matter in which part of the world they live. See how US and Philippines men talking in same tune. According to my view Hillary should stay in the race because she has the potential to lead her country.

Why you Indians, particularly talking about Pratyush from India, are against women to become head of nation when in India, your president is a woman and the main force behind the government is also a woman.
