Everyone has seen it by this point.

We learned what most of us already knew, President George W. Bush can duck.

It looks like he’s had practice at this (maybe from back in his drinking days)

During a surprise news conference in Baghdad, Iraq, President Bush was met with a reporter’s size 10 shoes whizzing by, as the man screamed, “This is a farewell kiss, dog!” in Arabic.

Ever the man to make the first joke, Bush told reporters after the incident, “I’m okay. It doesn’t bother me. So what if he threw a shoe at me? All I can report is it is a size 10.” Actually, it was two shoes.

President Bush was uninjured.

But what’s interesting is that the man who threw the shoes is now a hero.

Should we be making people who hurl insults heroes?
